Along with our partners Civil Initiative Spaces Dialogue (Odessa), Dignity Space (Kyiv) and CSSP (Berlin) we have just restarted our activities to support dialogue in Ukraine, building on our work in 2014 and 2015. Last week’s workshop brought together dialogue activists from all over Ukraine, discussing on how to address the current challenges, e.g. resistance from parts of the society and security concerns for participants and organizers. Among the fascinating people we met was a Maidan activist and a member of the Berkuhut riot police who attended a reconciliation meeting by Dignity Space and are now a powerful pair to conduct dialogues e.g. with veterans of the military operations. The project is supported by ifa zivik with funds of the German Foreign Office.
