Tensions Escalate in Sri Lanka after Easter Attacks
After decades of civil war and the 2004 tsunami, Sri Lanka has been afflicted by yet another tragedy. The terror attacks on Easter Sunday have led to an escalation of pre-existing religious tensions according to recent reports of our partners. In 2018, in collaboration with it’s Sri Lankan partner Rainbow Resources Lanka Ltd and with funds from the Robert Bosch Foundation inmedio started a project to support Sri Lanka’s efforts towards an infrastructure for local dialogue as a mean of coping with the country's past. Earlier trained dialogue facilitators and Ministry officials are planning to conduct dialogues in the near future in order to deal with the rising tensions. More information can be found here.
